COMMUNITY TRAUMA & RESILIENCE CARE

The Community Trauma and Resilience Care (CTRC), offers CTRC Trauma Training workshops for organizations that work with youth in afterschool programs, schools, and neighborhood settings.  Our CTRC team consists of a diverse team of clinicians, social workers, community activists, child psychologists, and researchers.  It was developed as a community engaged project to support the work of afterschool programs in urban neighborhoods, where many children have experienced poverty, continuous stress, and often public violence.  CTRC engages with workshop participants to not only provide tools for understanding and working with trauma, but also to enhance resilience and ‘lift up the good’ that already lives in local youth organizations.  CTRC Training has been adapted to adult groups that serve citizens who are returning from time in the criminal justice system, and to Ukrainian psychologists working with acutely traumatized clients in a war situation.
